Who we are

Hi, I’m Ricky—welcome to RicSpoon Photography! My love for photography began in my early 20s and has only grown. My journey behind the lens has been shaped by unique experiences, including my time in the military, where I practiced radiography and developed an eye for detail.

While living in Europe, I delved into film photography and learned to develop film in the darkroom. That hands-on experience deepened my appreciation for the artistic process.

After the birth of my sons, digital photography became a new and exciting way to document their lives. I took photos of them as they learned and explored the world. Capturing those precious moments helped spark a love for photography to preserve memories and tell stories.

Since then, photography has been a constant, whether documenting vacations, capturing candid moments of friends, family, and events, or experimenting with new techniques. In March 2024, I purchased a mirrorless camera, beginning a more serious commitment to pursuing my passion.

Through RicSpoon Photography, I aim to capture people, places, and timeless events from a perspective through photography, finding beauty in everyday life and preserving the moments that matter most. Thank you for joining me on this journey. I can’t wait to connect and create with you.
