City Views & Timeless Landmarks: Three Days Exploring NYC and Jersey City

Over three days, I explored two incredible cities — Jersey City and New York City — connected by the PATH and NYC Metro. From serene waterfront views to world-famous landmarks, this trip was a mix of history, culture, and vibrant city energy.

The trip began with one of America’s most iconic sights — the Statue of Liberty. Approaching by ferry, the statue grew larger against the blue sky, its presence both inspiring and humbling.

Back in Jersey City, Exchange Place offered incredible views of Lower Manhattan across the Hudson. The golden light of the afternoon made for perfect shots of the skyline.

Visiting the 9/11 Memorial was a powerful and emotional experience. The reflecting pools and engraved names served as a solemn reminder of the day’s impact, while the museum preserved its history for generations to come.

Our final day began at Rockefeller Plaza, home to art deco architecture, iconic sculptures, and sweeping views from the Top of the Rock.

The evening gave us some beautiful nighttime vies of both New York City skyline and the Jersey City waterfront.

Traveling between Jersey City and Manhattan via the PATH and NYC Metro was a story in itself — the rhythm of the trains, the underground tunnels, and the endless people moving between boroughs.

This trip reminded me why I love city photography — the mix of iconic views, everyday moments, and personal experiences that make each image tell a story. Jersey City and New York City will always have more to explore, but these three days left me with memories I’ll never forget.
